The Accessible Emoji
Emojis’ complex detail and difficult-to-navigate user interface make them inaccessible to people living with visual impairments. For this project, I developed a directional system that uses angles, like on a clock face, to help identify each emoji. Each emoji has been designed with a directional feature which means that, even if the detail is lost to the eye, the user can identify the emoji by its unique shape.
